Little Flower Seminary is
the place where the aspiring candidates to priesthood are staying and studying.
She is 78 years old. She came into existence in the year 1938 in the building
near to the TMSSS. She had a humble beginning to cater the educational needs of
the young seminarians from Thoothukudi diocese. The young seminarians from
class 9 to 12, stayed there and studied in St. Xavier's Hr Sec School. She has
served the seminarians to learn Latin some years. During those years, the
school going seminarians stayed and studied in St. Theresa's Hr Sec School,
Vadakankulam. In 1976, she has shifted her residence in the present building
which served as Bishop House. In 2005, she became the inter-diocesan minor
seminary for Palayamkotai and Thoothukudi diocesan seminarians. Since 2009,
Madurai Arch diocese seminarians also joined for their Initiation course and in
the year 2015 onward, Seminarians from dioceses of Palayamkotai, Dindigul,
Sivagangai, Madurai and Thoothukudi, are staying here.
